COURSE REFLEXION
Now, this tenth week course I really feel contradictory feelings since I am happy so I have learned too many activities, strategies, tips and information that surely contribute to my teaching process, but I am also a bit sad because I have to wait until another great opportunity like this comes to help me and my students. However I know I have to explore and look for the chance to keep learning and improving my skills.
Every single activity was a total success and every single week I felt that it was the right chance to read, discover new forms of promoting students skills, but overall the course promoted the opportunity to practice really fantastic and active activities and ideas to work with my students successfully.
I just want to mention that I enjoyed the most with online exercises to create our own activities. I loved it because I could manage and manipulate information according to my students' necessities and the context I work.
I also was so pleased to work with power point presentations. This strategy made me notice that it is possible to manage large classes effectively with the use of pair or group activities which are attractive, interactive and encourage even reluctant students to ask questions and participate in classes.
As well as the rest of activities I feel that learning to write the A.B.C.D method to write learning objectives was useful for me. Honestly, I have always written objectives but now I have a wide understanding of writing them by demonstrating accuracy in the goal.
I will use power point presentations, online exercises, webquests, blogs, rubrics, alternative assessment and everything that fits with my lesson planning. I felt that the template for a lesson plan was not too useful for me since it seems to be too extended or large. I did not find real since it is not able to plan the everyday lessons where we include too many details and specifications. So I will use just the most appropriate aspects that fits in my class into my students' context and necessities.
I would suggest you to work with some of the tools that google offers like google docs. I really do not know how to work with it, but I know that it provides too many benefits.
Great Course
Mory-Ecuador
Hi, Mory
ReplyDeleteCongratulations
You are the best teacher
You have learned a lot of new strategies.
that help you to teach in better way.
All of the tools that we have learned, allow us
to increase the knowledge in our students.
You know, in Ecuador it is difficult to learn English, because we do not speak English. We do not need to speak English, but I think that with these new tools we could communicate in better way.
I hope, we practice into our classroom: power point presentations, online exercises, webquests, blogs, rubrics, alternative assessment and everything that fits with my lesson planning, word search, games, puzzles, videos, etc.
With love
