ENGLISH SKILLS, DELICIOUS AND PROJECTS
"A little learning is a dangerous thing."
-Alexander Pope
This week I had the opportunity to read and interact a lot and it let me to discover a world full of chances to do whatever we want, these days we can not complain about the lack of resources or material needed for teachers and students, it would not be fair.
I really feel happy and confident about the enormous range of information and possibilities we can have to provide our students some learning experiences.
The articles you provided are really interesting so I can conclude that CALL is a useful aid to promote situations that stimulate student's interests, allows dialogues and communication, enhances oral and written practices with a sense of personal worth, facilitates collaboration among students working together, permits rich
learning experiences for all them and strengthens communication skills since there is a great variety of resources like: games, videos, worksheets, real-time radio activities, conversations, spontaneous feedback, exposure to real interaction. All of these activities are centered on students to improve listening, speaking, pronunciation, grammar which influence over the practice of communication. I could notice that the potential of CALL develops spoken and written, language competence which provides safe, motivating and interactive environment by a great variety of resources.
I also want to refer to the conversation Lesson plan which uses diagrams to get students talking about the different tenses like: past simple, present perfect, present perfect continuous and present simple. I find it quite easy for students to understand and helps to get students thinking in the right direction before beginning the task.
Talking about delicious it is a practical website to add and share all of the links we find interesting used for the teaching and learning process, it is also a way to organize and distribute the material found in the web by categories. Although I was a bit confused by creating my account , my experience with it was satisfactory because of the usefulness for us and learners.
Finally, I want to tell that the project I read was well detailed and structured that I think it worked well. She thought in a very attractive and effective skill "Reading" to direct the process of improvement in communicative skills of English through the use of technology. Students love technology and I agree that we have to direct their preferences to their benefit.
It was really pleasant to get too much knowledge this week.

WEEK 2 - TOOLS AND ABCD METHOD
WEEK 2 Reflection
During this week we have been discussing about search engines which have been really interesting and important to get to know them due to the fact that I just knew about GOOGLE. I am sure I have been missing a great tool to search information like Noodle is.
Every interactive conversation we have had with our partners has been productive since we have known more about the other search engines they suggested. Additionally I hope my suggestions have also been of some help to find activities for students.
About ABCD method, I can say that it is new for me to start using it. It is useful due to the fact that it focuses on the main four aspects that direct the learning goals. Those aspects are as follow: students, what we expect from them, the context where learning will happen and finally establish clear parameters about how much we want them to produce. I find the ABCD method very helpful to write clear learning aims.
I would appreciate it if you comment on my description about Step 1, Describe a Class for my final project since I need to make sure if it is a good topic to be developed.
As I mentioned about technology in my workplace we have it but I would like to use technology to have students practice English out of the classroom as well.
This week has been very productive because we have learned how to write leaning aims, and how to use the best search engines according to teachers and students needs.

WEEK 1 ---- WHAT I HAVE LEARNED SO FAR
Since this is the first time I have my own blog, it was a bit exciting because I know many people will read my commentaries. However, I didn't know I had first to create an account at Gmail buy fortunately the given instructions were very clear so that, I found it easy to have my own space on the net.
I consider that using a blog for classes is a way to motivate students because they are the ones who are constantly in touch with technology. By means of a blog students can explore web sites and share activities throught the net. Apart from classroom activities, learners can additionaly read and write about topics of their interest which is really good to promote their productive and receptive skills.
To my mind, having a blog opens the chances to interact with students not only in the classroom but also out of it, what do you thing about blogs for learning languages?. Isn't it a great tool?
