FINAL REFLEXION

COURSE REFLEXION

Now, this tenth week course I really feel contradictory feelings since I am happy so I have learned too many activities, strategies, tips and information that surely contribute to my teaching process, but I am also a bit sad because I have to wait until another great opportunity like this comes to help me and my students. However I know I have to explore and look for the chance to keep learning and improving my skills.

Every single activity was a total success and every single week I felt that it was the right chance to read, discover new forms of promoting students skills, but overall the course promoted the opportunity to practice really fantastic and active activities and ideas to work with my students successfully.
I just want to mention that I enjoyed the most with online exercises to create our own activities. I loved it because I could manage and manipulate information according to my students' necessities and the context I work.

I also was so pleased to work with power point presentations. This strategy made me notice that it is possible to manage large classes effectively with the use of pair or group activities which are attractive, interactive and encourage even reluctant students to ask questions and participate in classes.

As well as the rest of activities I feel that learning to write the A.B.C.D method to write learning objectives was useful for me. Honestly, I have always written objectives but now I have a wide understanding of writing them by demonstrating accuracy in the goal.

I will use power point presentations, online exercises, webquests, blogs, rubrics, alternative assessment and everything that fits with my lesson planning. I felt that the template for a lesson plan was not too useful for me since it seems to be too extended or large. I did not find real since it is not able to plan the everyday lessons where we include too many details and specifications. So I will use just the most appropriate aspects that fits in my class into my students' context and necessities.

I would suggest you to work with some of the tools that google offers like google docs. I really do not know how to work with it, but I know that it provides too many benefits.

WEEK 9 – REFLEXION

LEARNING STYLES AND FINAL PROJECT

Hello everyone!!

"Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work". Thomas Edison.
"Everybody should have the opportunity to do and be everything they can be". Dr Phil
I wanted to start with these quotes because I need to emphasize that opportunities are close to us but we have to work hard to reach them. Technology gives us opportunities to help our students understand information better by an active and participative process. It is not only teacher's work but also student's work. To promote students work hardly we have to give opportunities to increase their skills and motivation. The great benefit of technology is the large range of tools to help our students according to their necessities and abilities to learn.
I think that the second quote I mention gives us a clear idea that our students will develop their skills successfully depending on the kind of opportunities we present according to their way of taking information. Learning styles is what we have to learn about it is an individual goal to teaching. I think that active learning depends on the techniques that truly engage students in their effective learning process. I was really pleased this week to read more about different intelligences to enhance students' skills and the different activities and strategies to apply with them. I learned a lot from my partners comments, ideas and websites so that I already used some of their great suggestions.

I want to express my happiness about my project's results. I expanded my knowledge about using technology and I am motivated to keep working with it. Even though I had some problems with internet access and time, it was really fruitful to try something different and interesting for me and my students.
